2015, Israel trip, victory

Here we go…

Several years ago, the Lord spoke to my wife Judy about going to Israel to bless His people and He would heal her of all the losses in her life. She told me, that word was not only for her, but also for me and any others who would respond. Isn’t that what Genesis 12:3 promises? (“I will bless those who bless you”).

At first that word seemed strange to her because she felt the Lord had already healed her of her losses. But as she pondered what He spoke to her, it became clear that there was lost time and lost opportunities and even lost revenue that had not been recovered. A sense of excitement began to build in her as she considered what all He may have in store. Whatever God has in mind, we are quite happy to receive it!

When I sought the Lord about going to Israel, He made it clear to me that He had things He was excited to show me. Yet I still delayed. But now, as I look out across the balcony of time into 2015, some things are becoming very clear to me. And I know, it is time for us to go to Israel.

We’re calling it the RECOVER ALL 2015 TOUR.

We’re going to retrace the greatest recovery stories in the Bible and pull from them, on location, the full import of the story. Whether it’s David recovering all after Ziklag, or Abraham recovering his only son at Mt. Moriah, we are going to relive those moments and elevate our faith to new levels.

We’re going to enter the cave of Adullam where David found refuge from Saul and overcame the temptation to prematurely step into his destiny as king. We will search out Gibeon where Joshua, in need of victory, asked God to stop the sun and moon – and He did! You would think that if the sun and moon stopped in Israel, the rest of the world might have noticed. Well, they did and that day is recorded in cultures around the planet! Got lots to tell you about that!

There’s something about physically being there that simply cannot be captured on video or in print. Take for example, Gilgal. It’s where Israel entered the Promised Land after crossing the Jordan on dry ground. It’s where God says he rolled away the reproach of Egypt from Israel. Can you imagine? 400 years of slavery followed by 40 years of wandering in the desert. Then finally, they cross the Jordan and begin to take possession of the land.

All the men were circumcised and their life in Canaan began. That date (1416 B.C.) may be very significant, but do you know why? You will understand more from the vantage point of the banks of the Jordan at Gilgal. But more significant than the possible date and its connection to 2015 – 2016, is the fact that Gilgal represents new beginnings. It was the first base camp for Israel when they entered the Promised Land. It was the place from which they launched their early conquests. It was the place where Elijah was taken up into Heaven and Elisha began his ministry. It is a hugely significant.

I pay attention to things with significance.

Gilgal was the first place that Israel celebrated Passover in the Promised Land. The next day, the manna stopped. Passover of course, was when the Last Supper took place with Jesus and His disciples before He was crucified, buried and resurrected. It is with that significance in mind, that we are planning our trip to be in Israel for Resurrection Weekend at the time of the Passover blood moon this April 4th, 2015. Talk about recovering all! Nothing tops the resurrection!

Have you ever been inspired by watching the highlights of a great football game or maybe by a true life story of overcoming incredible odds and accomplishing something great? Think how much more there is to glean from revisiting places like Gilgal where both King Saul and King David were reaffirmed in their kingship at Gilgal.

We’re going to catch the night sky where Abram had his whole life reset when God took him outside and showed him the stars as a representation of his future offspring. There’s a reason God didn’t just tell Abram about his future offspring. He took him outside and showed him a physical representation of what he could expect. There’s power in seeing and experiencing a physical representation of a powerful spiritual reality.

That’s why we’re going! It’s time for the recharge of a lifetime! There’s nothing like setting aside a specific time, place and action to fuse our faith, turn up the passion and rekindle the fire of God in our life. We will experience the cool waters of the Jordan and the solitude of the nearby mountains. Hebron and Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Capernaum just to mention a few familiar places. Then, there is Galilee where Peter recovered His relationship with Jesus and was fully restored in relationship. Some of us, still need that experience today.

There is so much for us to recover.

Our roots. Our sense of time. Our inner strength. Our resolve and courage for the challenges ahead. Greater faith, clearer vision and a vital passion for the things of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We’re going there to recover all God has in store for us including the truths we’ve never possessed, a better understanding of the times in which we live, and a clearer picture of what He wants to accomplish in the time we have left on this earth.

Jordan River

This is going to be such an incredible trip, I can hardly stand it.

I thought we would throw it out to you and see if anyone wants to come with us. We are going with or without a group. But if there’s enough interest, we will make a way for a small group to come and experience the presence of God in a way we believe will change us and you forever!

Most likely the tour dates would be for ten days surrounding the Resurrection weekend of April 4th, 2015. Maybe April 2 – 12 which is also the month on Nissan, the REAL first month of the year on God’s calendar. (See Exodus 12:2 for verification). Before we do any serious group planning, I am going to see if there is genuine interest.

Although this will not be Judy’s first trip, we will still have a guide to safely navigate us through all the important sites, plus all the places we can find where God helped His people recover all. There is a lot to work out if were putting together a group trip, so let us know asap if this is of serious interest to you. We expect the cost to be around $3,995 per person based on double occupancy, but that will depend on a few factors, including how much interest there really is.

We’re going because it’s that important to us. If you think you want to come on a customized tour of the Holy Land with Judy and I, with the express purpose of recovering that which the Father wants to restore, drop us an email at judy@michaelpink.com. If there’s sufficient interest, we will try to make it work for you too.

Stay tuned in the days ahead. We’ve got much to share!
